I m trying to sync photos and music with my new phone. I have an Android RazrM. I do not get a MTP prompt when I plug it in with the USB cord. I ve updated Windows Media player 11 as well as downloaded the Motorola driver updates. But my computer
still does not recognize the phone, and it doesn t show as one of the drives. I ve been talking to the Motorola people, but they don t know what the problem is either. If you could help I sure would appreciate it.

Bought new phone Sony Xperia V, I have two 2 PCs one ASUS laptop and another ASUS DesktopPC.
Both are running XP SP3 Pro. Laptop has fresh install of windows. Desktop no. Desktop had Nokia PC Suite before for S60 phone, which was removed.
Installed both machines Sony Pc Companion to access phones memory.
Laptop works, and desktop no.
Found MTP device code 13. This keeps flashing.
I have at least 5 times from Desktop PC installed/uninstalled
Sony PC companion
WMP 11
cleared registry for USB devices
deleted wudfrd.sys, wpdusb.sys that MTP uses

For the Samsung Galaxy installation of Kies, there is one more step you need to take. You need to install a driver. Go to samsung.com and enter shg_i337zKaatt in the Search Box. Click on downloads right underneath the picture of the Samsung Galaxy,

I am having the same issue as most, my old pc with windows xp does not recognize the android M.
Since it is my means to the internet-through the droid I cannot download directly to the PC, but rather I must use A Mac. I download the driver to a USB storage device, but when I tried to install it to the PC a prompt said there is no validation code.
Now what.

Yes, I agree BUT it is only for Windows XP Professional. My other computer with XP Home Edition, with the same updates, including the Windows Media Player 11, did not work. I had to manually install MTP driver. I remember that Samsung System Requirements
to connect to the PC was Media Player 11 and Microsoft Net Framework, etc. So, all Droid system requirements should be met 1st, before installing the drivers. I spend a good afternoon updating my 2 computers. Had to do extra non critical updates to get all

I m having the same problem with several Android devices, e.g. Galaxy S3, S4, Motorola Razr XT910.
The found MTP device is flashing every 2 seconds, also in the device manager refreshing every 2 seconds.
I ve tried deinstalling / reinstalling all drivers, installing MTP Porting Kit, but nothing works.
Any ideas.

I have a similar problem. I bought a Google insignia Android device and connected it my Windows XP SP 3 pc. Now the device is not recognized completely and is shown as MTP device on opening the Explorer. But when I click the MTP device it shows a message
You donot have permissions to access this device. I have kept the android device connected and unlocked and also enabled USB debugging mode for development purposes. Any suggestion on what could be the problem. I have upgraded to WMP 11 which terminated
